Engineering Dept. 

The Engineering Services Division ensures that the City of Barstow has the necessary infrastructure in place to promote and maintain the community. This involves managing the engineering design and construction of capital improvements, conducting traffic engineering, managing environmental programs, and reviewing land development and construction activity as it relates to public infrastructure.

The Engineering Services Division strives to provide public and customer services to the assist members of the community with their plans, questions, and concerns.

Water Quality Management Plans

A WQMP is triggered based upon the square footage of "impervious area" being created of modified. The trigger point is 2,500 SF to 5,000 SF for non-regulated WQMP (short form and not recorded against a property). Once over 5,000 SF, a regulated (recorded) WQMP is triggered.
